The Social Security Number Verification will flag bogus social
security numbers used by individuals by automatically validating
and detecting if the Social Security Number (SSN) has never
been issued, or has been used in a Death Claim File.
You can also learn the day the SSN was issued, along with the month
and year it was issued. As an example: If the subject provides you
their name and SSN and after a Social Security Number Trace it has
been determined that the subject’s SSN was just issued in
2001. Also the subject claims he or she is a U.S native and their
year of birth is 1974. You now have serious questions why the subject
is using a SSN issued in 2001 if they were born 27 years earlier.
Another example: If the subject provides you their name and SSN
and after the search it has been determined that the subject’s
social security number was used in a death claim file. You now have
serious questions why the subject is using a SSN used in a death
claim file.
A third example: If the subject provides you their name, SSN and
date of birth (dob) and you conduct a search. After the search is
conducted it has been determined that the subject’s dob is
1974 yet the subject indicates they were born in 1970. Also their
social security number was issued in Florida, with Florida address
history, and yet the subject indicates they are a Texas native and
has never lived in another state. You now have serious questions
why the subject is using a different dob and has a SSN and address
history in another state when they claim they never lived there.
